Specialty Coagulants

The Pro Pac and 900 Series Products consist of aluminum based formulations. These products are widely used in municipal water, waste water and industrial waste applications. All of our coagulants are manufactured under tight standards from the highest quality raw materials. The 900 series products are exceptionally pure, consistent, and stable.
These Coagulants are supplied in a wide range of charge densities and chain lengths. They can either be used as primary coagulants or settling aids in conjunction with aluminum sulfate or ferric chloride. Advantages of using these products include floc formation over a wide pH range, effectiveness at very low alkalinities and in cold waters, reduced dosages and sludge production, and extended membrane life.
These products should be fed neat to the point of application or, if necessary, diluted with low alkalinity water prior to feed. Chase water should be avoided, if possible.

All of these products are NSF approved for potable water treatment.
Acrylamide Polymers

NTU Technologies' acrylamide polymers are widely used in municipal water, waste water and industrial waste applications. All of these products are manufactured under tight standards from the highest quality raw materials. We market cationic, anionic, and non-ionic polymers in a full selection of molecular weights and charge densities.
Products are available to enhance the performance of clarification, thickening, flotation, and de-watering operations. Select products can be supplied in formulations approved for potable water treatment applications.
Because our acrylamide product line covers dozens of formulations, please contact us for the best product for your applications. NTU Technologies' sales staff can perform on-site testing to determine the best product for the application and provide advice for purchase and set-up of the correct feed equipment.

Cationic Polymers

NTU Technologies' cationic polymers are widely used in municipal water, waste water and industrial waste applications. All of these products are manufactured under tight standards from the highest quality raw materials.
These polymers are supplied in a wide range of charge densities and chain lengths. These products can either be used as primary coagulants or settling aids in conjunction with inorganic coagulants. Advantages of using these products include floc formation over a wide pH range, improved clarification in most applications, and a stronger, more filterable floc.
NTU Technologies' cationic polymers can be diluted prior to feed or can be fed neat using chase water to provide dilution to the point of application. These products have a long shelf-life, as long as they remain undiluted.

Alum/Polymer Blends

NTU Technologies, Inc. produces a series of aluminum sulfate/polymer blends. Where aluminum sulfate is the product of choice, our alum/polymer blends provide a one-product treatment that improves settled water clarity and filterability, and improves particle and TOC removal. Our alum/polymer blends also reduce sludge production and reduce caustic soda or lime dosages in the finished water. These products are very consistent and stable. All of these products are NSF approved for potable water treatment use.
NTU Technologies' alum/polymer blends should be fed neat to the point of application. If chase water is required, only low alkalinity water should be used and should be applied as near the point of application as possible.

Corrosion Inhibitors

Zinc orthophosphate corrosion inhibitors have become the product of choice for many utilities throughout the United States. These products have proven to be a very effective corrosion controlling agent in a broad range of finished waters. For protecting tanks, pumps, and most pipeline materials, zinc orthophosphates out-perform other inhibitors in most applications.
NTU Technologies' Zinc Orthophosphate Corrosion Inhibitor works by forming a protective film on the interior surfaces of water purveying tanks, pumps, valves, and pipelines. This film can be of the pure zinc phosphate-type or can form in combination with other elements such as silicates or carbonates.
What makes these products so much more effective than non-zinc inhibitors is their ability to deposit a very uniform, resilient film that adheres strongly to the interior surfaces of your distribution system. This film will not wash off and stands up well to the scratch test.
NTU Technologies, Inc. offers a complete line of zinc orthophosphates which are formulated to treat a wide variety of system corrosion problems from steel and transite, to lead and copper corrosion. Zinc orthophosphates help reduce red water complaints, reduce THM formation in treated water, and enhance chlorine's effectiveness at controlling bio-film regrowth on the interior surfaces on pipelines.
Polyphosphate sequestering agents have been used to control red water due to iron and manganese oxidation in distribution for decades. These products are used to treat well water, as well as surface water systems.
NTU Technologies, Inc. offers several polyphosphate formulations that treat a wide range of iron and manganese concentrations. Please contact our office for product selection and dosage information.
All of these products are NSF approved for potable water applications.
Copper & Zinc Removal Treatment

NTU Technologies' MetalSolve is a water based solution that provides flexible and cost efficient treatment for copper and zinc remediation.
MeatalSolve is applied to the mixed liquor just prior to the secondary clarifier. A small dosage of Zeta Floc 20 Polymer is applied with the MetalSolve to improve removal in the setting process.
MetalSolve can be applied over a wide pH and temperature range. Typical MetalSolve dosages are 6-10 mg/L with a Zeta Floc dosage of 2-4 mg/L. This product can be fed neat or with carrier water.
MetalSolve can be stored in a standard poly or fiberglass tank at temperatures between 40 - 90 degrees Fahrenheit. This product will remain stable in storage for one year. For smaller application, MetalSolve is available in 220 gallon tote-bins.
NTU Technologies' personnel will assist you with storage and feed information and answer any questions.
